Circularity by Recycling
PPS10: RECY.TUBE
Electrical Pipes designed with Recycled Plastic Composition and Non-Halogenated Flame-Retardant properties, as well as Recyclability
Specific Objectives
Development of safer electrical pipes that rely less on fossil-based raw materials by introducing recyclable PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) polymers. Increased use of recycled plastic waste allows for a reduction in the overall carbon footprint. The specific objectives are:
- Creation of recyclable products while maintaining inherent properties, including flame retardancy requirements (HFFR – Halogen-Free Flame Retardant);
- Creation of safer products with reduced dependence on potentially harmful raw materials;
- Reduction of the environmental footprint associated with the end-of-life phase of plastics by increasing recyclability and/or reducing reliance on potentially harmful raw materials, compared to existing products for similar applications.
Processes, Products or Services
- Polyolefin compounds (LDPE, HDPE, PP), with high incorporation of PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) materials, with flame-retardant properties aimed at the production of electrical pipes in accordance with current international standards and HFFR (Halogen-Free Flame Retardant) flame retardancy requirements categories.
