A bilateral meeting between APIP and its Turkish counterpart PAGEV Türk Plastik Sanayicileri Vakfia took place in Instambul from September 2 to 4.
This meeting included several meetings to analyze opportunities and synergies between the two associations, as well as visits to companies in the Turkish plastics value chain cluster. It was also an opportunity to share projects between the two associations, highlighting various initiatives in the field of sustainability and education, sector statistics, among other topics.
With this in mind, APIP presented the Sustainable Plastics Mobilizing Agenda, a project co-financed by the PRR, which started as an APIP initiative and is led by the Logoplaste Innovation Lab. With an investment of 39 million euros, this agenda aims to leverage the sector’s transition to a truly circular economy.
The next edition of the Plastics Summit – Global Event was also presented. The largest sector event ever organized in the field of sustainability and the circular economy will take place on October 6, 2025, in Lisbon.
It should be noted that APIP had the opportunity to witness the brilliant work that PAGEV has been doing in key areas for the sector, such as sustainability and the education of young people, having visited technical-vocational and vocational schools geared towards the plastics industry.
