Sustainable Plastics Agenda on CNN INNOVATION

Next Saturday, March 7, the first episode of Agenda Sustainable Plastics will be broadcast on CNN Portugal in two episodes, at 9:48 a.m. and 4:26 p.m.

The Sustainable Plastics Agenda is a project co-financed by the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan) and originated from an initiative by APIP – Portuguese Plastics Industry Association, with the business leadership of Logoplaste Innovation Lab. Its goal is to accelerate the sector’s green transition to an effective Circular Economy.

With a total investment of around €39 million, this agenda consists of a consortium of 39 companies and 10 entities from the Scientific and Technological System, covering different segments of the industry and responding to the main challenges of the new extended value chain.

Main goals:

✅ 21 innovative products for the Circular Economy
✅ 36 scientific publications and new patents
✅ 30% reduction in GHG emissions in production processes

Participation by Amaro Lopes dos Reis, President of APIP, Paulo Correia, CTO of Logoplaste Innovation Lab, and Jorge Coelho, Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Coimbra.
