As part of Work Package 4, PPS 12 (BiFibRe: Biodegradable Fiber Waste Composites), TENSAI attended the SPOGA+GAFA international trade fair, held from June 24 to 26 in Cologne, Germany – a benchmark event for outdoor furniture, with an emphasis on plastic solutions.
During the fair, the company highlighted its commitment to sustainability by presenting innovative biocomposites developed within the Sustainable Plastics consortium. Two demonstration products were presented: an egg holder and a set of disposable cutlery, resulting from the combination of PLA (polylactic acid) with corn fiber waste, creating highly biodegradable materials that can be molded by industrial injection.
