As part of Work Package 4, PPS 12 (BiFibRe: Biodegradable Fiber Waste Composites), TENSAI FURNITURE was present at the DECOR HOTEL 2025 trade fair, held from November 20 to 22 at FIL – Lisbon International Fair.
During the fair, the company demonstrated the applicability of the new biocomposite in a refrigerator component (egg tray) and a set of disposable cutlery.
The objective of this PPS is to develop biodegradable composites based on PLA and corn fiber waste to enable industrial injection molding of rigid parts that can be used as components for household appliances and disposable cutlery.
