APIP, represented by its President, Amaro Reis, and Executive Vice President, Pedro Paes do Amaral, is attending Chinaplas 2026 – one of the largest international trade fairs dedicated to the plastics and rubber industry – which is taking place in Shanghai from April 15 to 18.
In this context, APIP is promoting the Sustainable Plastics Agenda, a project co-financed by the PRR, which originated from an APIP initiative and is led by Logoplaste Innovation Lab.
With a total investment of 39 million euros and a consortium comprising 39 entities from the business sector and 10 entities from the scientific and technological sector, this Green Agenda’s primary objective is to accelerate the green transition of the plastics industry, promoting sustainability and an effective circular economy.
This first day also provided an opportunity to meet with various key players in the global plastics industry, including Yavuz Eroglu and Nagihan Kul, respectively President and Director of Certification and Training at PAGEV; Bernard Merkx, founder of Green Wave Plastics; Jellis Khan and Nina Mando, Director of International Marketing and Assistant Marketing Manager at The Adsale Group, respectively; Antonio Paolini and Sergio Hilbrecht, President and Executive Director of CAIP – Cámara Argentina de la Industria Plástica; the team from the Malaysia Plastics Recyclers Association, notably its coordinator Ren Chong; Ebbo Botwe, President of the Ghana Plastic Manufacturers’ Association; and Tugce Terzi from the Consulate General of Turkey – Office of the Commercial Attaché.
APIP’s presence at Chinaplas reinforces its international standing and its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global cooperation in the plastics sector.
