Sustainable Plastics Agenda at Equiplast / Expoquimia 2026

APIP participated in Equiplast / Expoquimia 2026 to promote the Sustainable Plastics Mobilising Agenda, a strategic initiative aimed at driving the sustainable transformation of Portugal’s plastics industry.

Throughout the event, APIP presented the project’s objectives, achievements, and opportunities to a range of national and international organisations, reinforcing Portugal’s position as one of the countries at the forefront of innovation and sustainability within the plastics sector.

Business-led by Logoplaste Innovation Lab and promoted by APIP, the Sustainable Plastics Mobilising Agenda brings together companies, research centres, universities, and other organisations from the Portuguese Scientific and Technological System in a collaborative effort focused on accelerating the industry’s transition towards a truly circular economy.

Participation in Equiplast / Expoquimia provided a valuable opportunity to showcase internationally the work being carried out under the Agenda, promoting knowledge sharing, the establishment of new strategic connections, and the identification of potential cooperation opportunities for the development of innovative and sustainable solutions.

Through Sustainable Plastics, new technologies, materials, products, and business models are being developed to enhance plastics circularity, reduce the use of fossil-based resources, increase the incorporation of recycled raw materials, and strengthen the competitiveness of the Portuguese plastics industry in global markets.

APIP’s presence at this important international event further strengthened the visibility of the Sustainable Plastics Mobilising Agenda among key industry stakeholders, contributing to the promotion of its achievements and the consolidation of new collaboration opportunities that support the successful implementation of the project’s objectives.

APIP remains committed to promoting initiatives that drive innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness within the Portuguese plastics industry, contributing to the development of an increasingly circular, resilient, and future-ready sector.
